Default Working on Codes

Ok so below are the codes I got and finally got a chance to start working on them. Here is the scernario it has not ran for over a month and some days.

p1316 - misfire causing excessive emissions
p1187 - HO2s heater short circuit, upstream sensor
p1191 - HO2s heater short circuit, downstream sensor
p0300 - random misfire detected
p0305 - Cylinder 5 misfire
p0303 - Cylinder 3 misfire
p0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire
p1194 - HO2s heater circuit high resistance, downstream sensor
p1313 - misfire likely damage to catalyst Bank A

So I first changed the plugs and wires and it starts right up with a bunch of smoke. Smoke dies down a bit I shut it off because it is making a clunking sound which is louder than normal. I drain the oil to see what is going on and their is gasoline in it (not good I am guessing).

Next I change the oil and take it for a little spin and it is lacking a lot of power, sluggish and will not go much above 30mph. So I am curious what the issue is now, lacking compression, rings messed up, etc?

Here is my next question, I did nothing with the o2 sensors yet, could that be causing the lack of power?

Comments and thoughts are appreciated, and I going to have someone do a compression test. So I will no more when that happens. Please let me know what you think and give it to me straight. Thanks again.

Josh

Would want to do compression test before you do any more test driving. Also re-check plug wire assignments.

Did the compression test, and I was told that the number was supposed to be between 17-21 and it was reading a 3. Does the information sound correct? What are my options the truck is running. Keep in mind it is a toy for the trails.

Where should I start?

assume that your reference pressure in bar, so your low reading is like 45 psi. Is this in all cylinders or just one? Could be gasket, could be rings, valves, etc. One test for rings is repeat test, but pour a couple of tablespoons of motor oil into the cylinder before the test. If PSI jumps up, indicates rings. But with three cylinders involved, maybe gasket or valves.

There are various liquid remedy fluids that can unstick a ring - sometimes. BG products might help.

Very few things can make all cylinders low at the same time.

Is it fair to assume that a vacuum leak and compression issues are one and the same problem?

Default Well things are not looking good!

Well things are not looking good for the old land rover. It is running and in decent shape. Any suggestions on selling versus parting out? I do not have money to put into a new engine or even a refurb of the old.

A compression test of 45 PSI is not a vacuum leak.

Engines can produce cylinder pressures in the 246.5 - 304.5 psi range? 1, 3, and 5 misfire, fuel in the oil and a 3 bar reading (on what cylinders?) and nothing pops except snake oils.....

So Josh, do you want to sell it, part it or fix it?

You need to worry about the smoke and the clunk before anything else.
How many miles on the engine and what color is the smoke?

209,000 on the engine and chassis. Smoke was grayish, wondering if it had anything to do with sitting for a couple months without running.

If there is not an easy fix, I have no money to do any big changes. So if I want to part out what can I expect money wise before junking for cash? All electronics work and are in decent shape.
