Having an issue with the AC. Drive the truck without the AC & all is good guage runs in the low normal. Turn on the AC and it stays constant in the low normal for about 20 minutes at all speeds, then the temp shoots up. Turn off the AC & it goes back to normal spot on the guage. Turn the AC back on, and another 20 minutes of comfort before I go thru the process again. I have verified the electric fans are shutting off driving up the temp, and letting the AC off & turning it back on starts the fans again. Was wondering if it's the relay overheating.

 

Thats it. I am the guy that posted it first and got it in.....buy it!

 

Cured your issue?? Know it cant be the radiator or the fan as it doesn't act up until the AC is on.

I have a question about your blazer fan.. are you using both the clutch and fan?
Or just the clutch? Is it a direct bolt on? Was it with ac or no ac?
There's a few 99 blazers at the local pull-a-part

2000 ish Blazer. Want the style with metal hub. Similar era GM trucks may also have a black nylon fan. Will fit with no fan shroud, does not cool as well without shroud, so use in emergency only. Nylon back rumored to split.

On the white nylon, blades can be trimmed carefully and no splinters, sand edges, even seal to prevent fraying. Have had this on for around a year. Found at salvage yard, flew in low with partz vulturez and snagged clutcgh and fan for $19. Clamp on part of shroud removed for photo.

did all that brown fluid come out with it. if so you have a blown head gasket. that is a lot of oil in your rad fluid. you can see the separation between the watery antifreeze and the the oil in the pan. hopefully that is just trany fluid in there.
