"Crackaling" sound coming from engine?

Default "Crackaling" sound coming from engine?

When i punch the gas i get this crackaling sound coming from the engine seems the sound is right under me Any hints?
2000 Disco with 78,000 miles

Sounds like you are descibing "pinging" to me. What grade of gas are you using?

Crackling under you could be suspension, driveshaft.

CHECK THE DRIVESHAFT!

Could also be flex plate, but driveshaft is more likely as mentioned.

Okay, this happen to him back in 06. It's pretty safe to say...he's moved on.

It's because of the related topic feature. You'll be looking at a topic and be scrolling along...and all of a sudden...you don't notice the topic has changed...since you've scrolled right into the "related topic" without noticing the main topic ended. Yep, been seeing this a lot since the board changed formats. Hate the related topic feature, period.

Figured you did the reply by accident, just found it to funny to not reply myself.
