The truck is 99 disco II. It has 120K miles, the oil was exteremely low so I put in 2 1/2 quarts and it took it all. I am going to try draining the panand refill it again. This time I will adda bottle of Lucas additive.

I take it this is not related to the topic, but all you need to do is clear the code. Just Rover trying to scare you. It is a rough road code, nothing to do to fix it..unless you call the DOT.

Anybody have any idea of what may be happening with the transmission? I also noticed that the " D" flashes when it's on drive.

I am not sure on this one. I know some had fill plugs, and no dipstick. I think you have to check the level cold with the engine running, but I am not sure. Mike has the same truck and should know.

Did it stop engaging before you messed with the fluid? May need to have it towed to a Rover shop to have the codes read..

If you are still having problems, and I imagine you are, you might want to call me or have me call you and go thru a few things to check.
