Default 01 Wont start but will crank.

01 160K on the clock.
Did plug wires/ plugs and a CPS 2 times.
Its been on the Netbook 2 times.

Its not locked out and i have connectivity between the BCU and the ECU.

I even tried a Newer working ECU and re booted via netbook.

I also do not have a ground to my coil packs and am not getting spark.

who's got ideas.

Check the fuse for the coils in the fuse box under the steering wheel. Should be a 20 amp fuse in slot #14 I think. Double check in the owners manual it has them all mapped out.

you have no ground or power to the coilpak?
you can always run a temp. ground to see if that is your problem

I agree with the checking all the fuses really well to start with.

Check the inertia switch on the firewall to make sure it hasn't popped up.

Did you pull the coil pack plugs (1 on each side of the coil pack) and test for the power at the plugs?

Fuses all good.

Another thing I have noticed, when i try and turn the car over my Service engine light turns off. But will come back on when it doesn't start. I may be thinking too much.

Car is about to go to the scrap yard!

Pull one spark plug, reattach the plug wire and ground the plug to the block. Have a friend crank the engine to see if you've got spark. It's easier to see the spark in the dark. If you've got spark then it's probably a fuel delivery problem. Make sure you hold the plug with pliers that have heavy rubber insulation on the handles or else your elbow will end up in your shoulder!

I have fuel delivery. I even tried to start it with starting fluid...

I have no spark due to no ground to the coil packs.

I'd download the electrical manuals from this website and start continuity checking to be sure it isn't a broken wire.

I might even just start off by jumping the possibly broken wire just to see what happens. If the ground from the starter pack just goes straight to ground, I'd ground it on something under the hood.

I'd very carefully read the RAVE sections on the ignition system to understand how it works.

Wish I could say "do this, it'll fix it" but electrical problems are always a PITA.
