Hey everyone. New to the forum, but long time viewer. Here's the deal. SES came on. Coded 0150 0174 and 1174. Changed front bank 2 sensor (it was black with soot) and decided to change out spark plugs (bank 2 also black, bank 1 clean) and also changed out air filter. Cleared codes and went for a drive. All good. Went for a drive later and SES came on again. Coded 0150 0174. Checked connections and everything looks good. Engine runs smooth. Any ideas on what to do?

 

Did you clean the connector on the 02's of oil?
Might want to check the 02 wire harness as far as you can follow it looking for a short., Who's plug wires are you using?

 

Cleaned oil off connectors and surrounding area with contact cleaner. Reconnected plug. Could not find any loose or broken wires. No short. O2 sensor is OEM replacement. Spark plugs are denso platinum, wires are OEM replacement. Cleared codes and told the wife to go for a drive. We'll see.

 

OEM replacement plugs wire is not a good thing, although not causing the problem.

 

My apologies. I checked my records and wires are NGK

 

So far so good. About a dozen cycles and 150 miles since clearing codes.
