03 Disco Brakes Squeeling...any advice?
Greetings all!
I wanted to get the Forum's feedback about my 2003 Discovery (which has almost 27K miles) in regards to my brakes "squeeling" when applied.
It mostly happens in the beginning of driving when I apply the brakes.
However, it's faint once it's warmed up.
Do I need to get new pads? or?
Should I take it in to the dealer or a brake shop?
or is it normal?
The dealer told me that it's normal on LR (when I took it in at 24K miles)
If I need to do some repairs, what brakes are recommended?
Thanks.
I appreciate in advance for your feedback.

Not meaning to hijack DV57's post, but I am having the same problem with brake squeal. I have less than 500 miles on new pads and rotors installed by the dealer (truck bought used from CarMax, three amigos, replaced under warranty, 57k miles). DiscoMike, any help to us all would be greatly appreciated. I also am, hopefully, a lot smarter about the new (to me) vehicle thanks to your very helpful posts.
You have to make sure and use a lotof sond deadening material on the back of the pads when they are replaced. Was this an LR shop, or Car Max? What kind of pads/rotors did they use?
