Default 03 Disco Dying

2003 4.6 Disco with 90000 miles. No probs in the past other than the 3 amigos which was fixed about 6 months ago.

Driving to work and my baby died on me. Wouldn't start. Finally after 10-15 minutes starts right up and goes about three miles and dies again...acting like out of gas. Try after work....starts right up and runs for 60 miles before dying again. I have put a bottle of Heet in it but haven't run it enough to know if that was the issue.

So what's wrong with my baby? Bad gas? Fuel pump? Fuse? Help Please!

Shawn

Do you get a service engine soon light? Could be as simple as a crank position sensor. Get the code read.

No service engine light at all. Battery and Oil Pressure light comes on when it dies. Oil pressure light goes away when cranking...batt light when it starts.

These are classic dying crank position sensor symptoms. The engine starts after it has cooled off a bit and then dies once it has heated up again.
