03 Discovery... flashing m&s lights
The part in your post where you talk about a 'klunk' when you shift is what caught my attention. I had that in my D2 as well. It was because of a bad drive shaft. I also had my M and S lights flash continuously so I shut my rover off. Put in a new Tom Woods drive shaft and all lights went away, check engine light off, no M and S lights flashing, everything runs great. While I can't be sure the M and S lights were because of the driveshaft, I know it only happened once and it hasn't happened since the new driveshaft.
Well guys, its back to square one.. my parts supplier just informed me that the xyz/safety neutral switch is on indefinite back order... Can anyone hook me up with a supplier that wont charge me a kings ransom ???
Thanx, Mike

The reason I didn't install mine when purchased is that it "healed" itself, until a week or two ago.
Good luck. Jeff
