03 Discovery... flashing m&s lights

The part in your post where you talk about a 'klunk' when you shift is what caught my attention. I had that in my D2 as well. It was because of a bad drive shaft. I also had my M and S lights flash continuously so I shut my rover off. Put in a new Tom Woods drive shaft and all lights went away, check engine light off, no M and S lights flashing, everything runs great. While I can't be sure the M and S lights were because of the driveshaft, I know it only happened once and it hasn't happened since the new driveshaft.

Thanks Mike, have had the battery checked out twice by two separate shops, they both tell me its at 100%

Well guys, its back to square one.. my parts supplier just informed me that the xyz/safety neutral switch is on indefinite back order... Can anyone hook me up with a supplier that wont charge me a kings ransom ???

Mike, I sent you a pm, but I looked at my receipt just the other day when I was having the switch installed. I bought it almost exactly one year ago- from Atlantic British I think- and it was about $240. Now I see, from a quick internet search, that these things are $599 or more!

The reason I didn't install mine when purchased is that it "healed" itself, until a week or two ago.
