I ended up taking my water pump and fan off together because I couldn't get that fan clutch nut to break loose. I'm looking to replace the fan but the one that came off my '04 has the clutch and fan as one piece. I've read that I can use one of the older fan/clutch combos. Is this true? And if so, will it mate up to the existing water pump/pulley?

Sure you can use the earlier DII two piece fan/clutch setup. I'm running that on my 03. I used a new Hayden HD fan clutch and ebay'd the early fan. I think I paid $65 for the clutch and about $20 for the fan.
