Mike, you mentioned using a product to fix this issue, has anyone used any of these products and have they worked. Should I drop the transmission and replace the rear main seal or try this product?

 

DIY cost...$7. I'd replace the seal.

A RMS is approx $7 at your local parts store...+ 6 hrs in labor Conversly, whatever additive you use may not fix the leak, if it does will only be temporary and may have unintended side effects on other components. On a $2K beater, go for it, but not a nice 04.

 

ok ty for the feedback, I will replace the rear main seal. it also seems as my flywheel it slightly warped or the rivets have come loose or broken, it is taping on the crank shaft sensor and sounds like an tick or exhaust leak, weird but Bill at RTE found it out yesterday when I was there.
