04 Transfer Case Swap

04 Transfer Case Swap
I intend to swap out from an 04 to an 03. I was reading a recent thread about wiring issues in doing this. I did not know that this was a problem.
I have a parts truck so I can scab any parts or wiring harness that I need. Is this a straight forward deal or do I need to expect wiring issues?

Why would you go from CDL to no-CDL?
You're going to need to blank out the interlock solenoid on the top of the 03 case, or wire it in parallel with the solenoid on the shifter. Former preferred
As far as wiring goes... the only other thing I can think of is the temp sensor on the driver side of the case. Some cases have it, some don't
For the CDL switches you can just leave them unplugged

Ah, I did. The only thing to check for really is the two black lucar connectors for the diff lock. Apparently some trucks don't have it. If it doesn't, then swap in the transmission harness from the 04 as well.
edit: I would swap in the 04 harness anyway as the 04 box uses different connectors (and two of them) for the diff lock. If you keep the lucar connectors then you need to splice the switches together and/or buy an adapter
