Default 15 inch wheels clear my brakes?

I am hoping to add a few upgrades this year to my '99 Disco II, one of which is a better set of off road wheels and tires. My question is this:

will a set of 15 inch steel wheels clear my brake calipers? I am looking at them, they are VERY close to my factory 16's, though the aluminum is certainly thicker than the steel will be. Has anyone done this?

The reason I want to back down to 15's is twofold: I want more rubber and less metal for wheeling and would also like a good and cheap tire option; I am thinking 31x10.5 LT 15.

Pretty sure they won't clear the calipers.

Default 15" Wheels WILL fit......

Here is proof that a 15" wheel will fit on a Discovery II or a P38:

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280846016030&ssPageNam e=STRK:MESE:IT

I used the wheels on this listing on a P38 AND a 2004 Disco II. There is plenty of clearance on the caliper as you will see in the photo.

I have seem 15X8" steel wheels on a D2. How much of a lift are you looking at, H.D. axles , gears and Diffs will you be using?
