My 99' Disco I low oil light came on the other day, i shut it down and parked it, oil level is good but doesn,t seem to be pumping. Are the oil pump and timing chain one in the same. I have 81,000 miles on my rover. Help please.

 

Does the engine sound noisy? Like no pressure to the top of the engine.. could be just a sensor failure. Let me know- Thanks, Rusty Owens- HR Motorcars- Rover repair specialists.

Which engine do you have? V8, 2.0L MPI, or TDI.
