2" Lift Kits OK?
For reasons of visibility, I would appreciate an additional 2" lift. I don't really want to go the EMU route yet, as the old girl is still a spring chicken at 45,000 miles and there is no discernable sag (yet). What is the general opinion of lift kits of the "Toddco Suspensions" variety? What are the snags, problems etc with installing this sort of gear?
OME or RTE are your only real options. If you go to a 2" body lift on your old suspension you will sway alot because you would then be even more top heavy.
Buy a lift, maybe hold of on the shocks for awhile if you don't want to spend the money now.

Been to the Rovertym website- standard 2" kit (Rovertym coils + OME shocks) approx $600. Are you saying that the Toddco stuff (at $150) won't cut the mustard because of sway? Makes me seaksick... Rather spend the extra $$$?
As much as I like the RTE products, Steve's 2" lift is closer to a 3" and may be too tall for you.
I would suggest going with the OME coils, like I have already mentioned, if money is tight, your shocks don't have that many miles on them and will last for awhile.

2" isn't going to help much against flood water. Just save up and do it right, then you can have better handling as well as the better look. If the cost of an OME lift is an issue I'd honestly put money in the bank for major service issues, I've seen about $3000 worth in 3 months but that's a bad streak of luck too.
