Default 2" or 3" Lift?

Hi guys,

I'm new to disco world and planning to make it as overlanding rig.
Do you guys need to add spacer for gearbox, control arm adjustment, etc. after 3" lift?

Do you guys have any recommendation for 2" or 3" lift?

Man, that looks mighty clean. Must have been garage kept. No sunroofs, the best.

For overlanding, 2" would be fine in my opinion. Might go with HD in rear, depending on storage compartments and sleeping platfprm weight. Went with medium on my first Dll, sagged a bit when loaded the extended trips.

Go with a 3”. I’ve had 2” and 3” and the 3” opens up so many options. Want bigger tires down the road, no problem. Find an ARB or steel bumper super cheap on Craigslist, no problem.

I’ve had 2” and 3”. The 3” is by far for versatile.

Do you need to change control arm, adjustment axle distance, brake line, etc. when you do the 3" lift?

I would upgrade the front shaft regardless. I would not buy the cheap shaft from Lucky8.... and extended brake lines are cheap and easy and always a good idea. Good piece of mind if nothing else on a 20 year old truck.
