Hi I've been getting these codes on my 1999 D1 and even after searching around, I'm not getting any closer to a solution. I've read it could be anything from my charcoal canister to purge valve to clogged mufflers??? Should I just get a smoke test to look for the leaks? If so, how much does this test run just so I know I'm not getting ripped off? Thanks for any help.

 

1448 is a Evap purge flow issue, never seen a 1496 before.
There are no codes for mufflers.
As for the test, if you don't have a mechanic you can trust, you are in trouble.
I am going to guess they are both purge flow issues and should be pretty easy to fix.
Let us know what you find.
