What are some issues the rear its head when the Secondary Air Injection has problems? Does engine go under powered. My engine has been under powered since I purchased 2017.

Emission faults, 1412,1415, loud jet sound at startup, no sound at startup, and a vacuum leak is about all the SAI will do. Shouldn’t rob any power, clogged cats, weak fuel PSI, clogged injectors, dirty air filter, slack in throttle cable = no power.

Sorry for the horrible typing. Was in a hurry. Just trying to chase down why my D2 shudders when accelerating. Not always, but usually. Runs fine on the interstate, but at take off, sometimes feels under powered and shudders while accelerating. Usually shift down into 3rd to help. Hills are also a struggle sometimes.

I get the loud Jet sound at startup, I thought it was normal... Is there an issue to address?

Yes the Jet sound is normal at startup however if you have a CEL on it could be due to the main line from the pump has fallen off, or it’s broken = system will be INOP and it will be slightly louder than normal.
