2000 Disco II Heated Seats
Hey all,
Just recently acquired a 2000 Disco II w/143k miles. Head gaskets etc all done - no over heating issues... seems to be a good truck.
Most of the issues are cosmetic or enhancements...
I read in some forum - this or another - where it seemed like if I can find a fascia panel with the buttons for heated seats, my leather seats may already have the wiring in them and it is just a question of hooking everything up. Is that correct?
Thanks,
-Stu

Yes sir! I did it to my truck. If you have the leather seats then all you need is this:
Land Rover Discovery 2 Window Switch Panel w Heated Seat Switches 99 02 03 04 | eBay

Thanks -
I ordered the panel and it's on its way. I'll probably resurface when I get it, just to ask for any "gotcha's" when wiring the seats up.
Winter is FINALLY almost over - but it'll be back and nice to have the warmers.
Thanks again...

No real gotcha's. Remove the panel, fasten connectors, attach panel. Plugs will only fit the switch they are designed for. Only real issue I think you could get the left and right seat warmers mixed up. But easy enough fix if you do.
Thanks to everyone and especially ralphobell.
Purchased the facia panel, swapped out panel and plugged in the connectors - I even got Left to Left on the first try and they work fine.
I will need to fab up a piece of aluminum to create lower screw holes, but you can't tell anything wrong with the cover panel on.
Thanks again,

Your very welcome!
Yeah, I fabed something similar until I found a pristine center console at the bone yard. I wish someone had not beat me to the front seats. The inside of this thing was immaculate.
