2000 Disco II Rough Idle, Radio issues
I posted this over in General Tech help as well, hoping to get all the advice I can.
This Disco has been running rough and threw misfire on Cylinder #5 code. If the car is idling in park and I press the gas pedal it has a faint shuddering. Once it stops accelerating and reaches a constant RPM the shuddering stops. When the car is moving and the engine is under load this becomes more apparent.
I decided to take a look under the hood and make sure the plug was still decent on Cyl #5, after tinkering around with the wire I noticed this radio issue:
So I replaced all the plugs and wires with Bosch +4's, and Magnecor 8mm wires from RoverParts. WHAT A PAIN IN THE ***. Still the same issue however, rough idle, rough acceleration, and now radio is going crazy. Now I get the occasional Cyl #7 code being thrown as well. I also will note that the #5 cylinder wire looked fairly corroded on the coil pack side - compared to the other wires.
