Default 2001 disco overheating ?

My Disco overheated it got hot and was shut down and towed home. History I had some hose changed and the thermostat. After that I had the gurgle in the dash or heater core. Had an un qualified rover try to bleed it got worse. Thats when it overheated the gurgle is still there. I have taken it to a rover guy reccommended by brit pacific. He checked it and pressured tested engine to check for Head gasket leaks after 3 hours no leaks were found. He also pulled plugs to check for water in cylinders found nothing. There is still a smell of coolant in the engine area. This rover guy was going for replace the engine. It runs fine I now have it at rover dudes in fullerton ca they seem to know what up.
Anyone have input 115,000 mile disco

sounds like you dodged a bullet. If it is holding pressure and properly bled, you should be ok. Change the oil if it got hot....

If coolant was spilled on the engine it will smell until it is all evaporated or washed off.
