2002 DII no spark no fuel
Working on a 2002 disco that has no spark or fuel. (yes, the gas tank is full). ECM and TCM have been swapped with known good parts. Replaced crank sensor b/c of logged code. Replaced fuel pump. Has CAN timeout monitoring codes. Truck cranks fine. Ignition coils are fine. Have checked all engine management relays and fuses. I'm tired of chucking parts at this truck and any help or insight would be appreciated!
I believe when replacing an ECU with a used one you also need a matching BCU from the same vehicle or the truck won't start. What was wrong with your original ECU?
Mike is right, you cannot just "plug-N-play" a ECU on these. The key and the ECU need to match so you will need to take it to the dealer and have them reprogram the key. And yes they need the whole trk.
The key has a computer chip in it and it "talks" to the ECU, with the wrong key the security system disables the fuel pump and ignition. Imagine that, without the right key you cannot steal the trk.

^also cleared and reprogrammed adaptations. I've done this a million times working on my own DI and DII so I'm not screwing up contol units by doing so.
When cranking and when key is in position 2, the manual and sport mode lights are flashing in dash. Gear indicator next to odometer (when key is in position 2) flashes in D, 3, 2, and 1 but not in park, reverse or neutral.
