Default 2002 Disco II. No fuel

I need some help guys. This is the first Land Rover I have ever been around. I just got done doing the head gaskets on it and went to fire it up but am not getting any fuel. I pulled a spark plug and its dry and doesn't smell like gas. I replaced the head gaskets, crank position sensor, and battery all at once and now i am lost. I checked all the fuses and they are good. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Do I need to crack or pressurize anything to prime the pump again? I tried to listen for the fuel pump but couldn't really hear it but it feels like it turns on when touching the fuel tank. It ran great before i did the head gaskets except the coolant leak.

On the firewall on the passenger side is a black button, the inertia switch.
You may have knocked it when doing the work. Press it in and see if that does anything.

Also check the ground strap from the driver's side cyl. head to the firewall.

You test for fuel by spraying starter fluid past the MAF through the air intake. If that starter fluid gets her to run, then you truly have a no fuel condition.

But whatever you do, do NOT spray the starter fluid ON the MAF.

Well I am happy to report I pulled a bonehead move and pulled the fuel pump fuse while I was doing the work so I could move it in and out while doing the work. Completely forgot I pulled it. Put it back in and it fired right up and runs like a top

Missed this word this morning, while reading the topic...and thought "how does someone remove the fuel pump and forget that...man, I'm bad...but not that bad...yet...lol.

Glad you remembered your fuse.

Brian.
