The heaqdgaskets can be done using Rover parts for around $1400, so they are stabbing you on that.
If all the other services were current, in other words a major service was recently done, then a combined price, heads and truck at $6000 to $6500 is good for you.
I bet the truck is not current on the other services needed and that is anothr $100 if a shop does it or $350 if you do it.
You better love this truck.

I recieved a call from the LR dealer. The price is frim at $5K and it was the head gaskets. The head gaskets replacement will cost additional$1,800.00. The bottom line will be about $7K. I have passed on this deal.

You are very wise to pass on this one. Somebody else will test drive the truck, overheat it and drop a cylinder liner and then the dealer will be buying a new engine for it AND be selling it for $5,000.
They are going to lose big time on this truck.
