2003 D2 blows heat and AC through all vents all the time--Bad flap/door actuator
I have weak air flow at the mid level vents when the AC is on,.....it is blowing out of the windshield defroster vents and the footwell heat vents at the same time.
I'm thinking that I have air flow director flap or door that is not working properly,....causing AC to blow out of all the vents simultaneously.
Anyone else experienced this or know what could be causing it?

Yes, I had a similar situation with my 2000 where even when my AC was off, hot air was being vented into the cabin. It may not be completely similar to your situation, but the trick I found was to do the following:
1) Turn AC on and put temp to "Lo"
2) Turn blower on max speed
3) Adjust vent direction to preferred setting (in my case, I set it to vent out the mid-vents or at the windshield)
4) Let run for 10 seconds.
5) Shut off AC
My understanding is that it is common for some venting to occur allowing outside air to be channelled in. After I did the above, I noticed that the air temp was much closer to the outside air temps.
Cheers!
