2003 Disco II Won't Start
Greetings - I just replaced the spark wires and plugs on my 2003 Disco 2. I did this over two days, and in the second day, I opened the hood (which I had not locked) while the car alarm was set. This, of course, set off the car alarm. After I was done replacing all wires and plugs, I tried starting the car, and nothing. It will not start, the engine will not turn, just a click in the fuse box. The car was starting just fine before this job. I panicked, spent a whole night googling potential fixes, came across a zillion threads talking about EKA number, resetting the immobilizer, and such. I could not find any EKA number in my complete owner's documentation. I went to the local dealership, and was told that 03 Disco did not come with an EKA number. I read online that 1515 is the default for EKA for NA Discos, which the dealership denied. I am not getting error codes. I tried start jumping the car, disconnected and reconnected the battery, made sure battery connections are clean and tight, checked all fuses, tried the EKA code reset, tried just about everything. At this point, I am not sure if the problem is related to the alarm going off and the immobilizer being engaged. I am trying very hard not to think about the starter, solenoid. I am not sure what to do next. PLEASE, HELP ME !!!!

I believe when immobilizer tripped, the red dash light will blink so does the hazzard lights together with the horn when you start the car. If you need the EKA, you have to go to a dealer and present your registration and license. They will give you the code by using key turns in the key slot.
