2003 HSE Disco will not stay running

Good progress. A couple points to save you money in the future:
1. Intake gaskets - upper and lower - I don't replace anymore (exceptions, lower deformed due to plugged pcv and excessive intake pressure) - never had a problem.
2. Parts prices - RockAuto, Amazon, and Ebay are usually substantially cheaper than Advance. I have not had significantly lower quality components from those outlets than Advance - a couple defective coils I think.
3. If you want to extend your HG/coolant quick fix, run the expansion tank cap loosened one turn. The system will not build pressure but will also not overheat as long as there is coolant. It will slow the degradation of your HG considerable as opposed to a system with 15psi in it.

Does it run and just die off? Or run and abruptly quit with no ability to start back up?
my Idle Control Valve was throwing an error in the scantool, so I didn’t even look at it; I just bought a new one. When it arrived I went out to install it...and my existing ICV was simply unplugged. They do not have a locking clip (why?) and it had vibrated loose I guess. Plugged it back in, hit the key...ran like a new Cadillac without even touching the gas pedal.
