2003 Questions and DIY Excitement
Well I have a 2003 Disco and have been doing some DIY 60k service lately and decided to check out my driveshaft for grease fittings. After reading through the forums I decided that I should have my front driveshaft fitted with them to prevent failure; however it turns out my Disco already has fittings on it... I bought it used and I'm not 100% on all the modifications (quite a few it seems)... Is the front driveshaft OEM or has it been modified? (aka do 2003 Disco's have grease fittings on the front driveshaft/u-joints?)
Also, I snapped a bolt on the transmission pan while changing the tranny filter. NOT recommended... what a PITA to fix. Time to buy a torque wrench.

So you are saying that the 2 u-joints in the constant velocity joint both have grease joints? How about the slip shafts on both front and rear drive shafts, have you removed the plugs and installed grease fittings so you can lube them?
