Default 3/11 Uodate

1st leg of the trip completed successfully. 600 miles and no issues - Jacksonville to Jackson, MS. Average speed was 75 mph and 13 mpg.

Temps ranged from 185-194. Really glad I added the 9 inch CarPlay screen. It makes navigation & music so much easier.

Tomorrow is the long day - 770 miles to Amarillo, TX.

Default 3/12 Update

Crossed over into Texas but still 7 hours to go. Gas prices holding at $4 per gallon. Cooler temps mean lower temp on intake air and no A/C. MPG now calculated at 14.3 MpG

Default 3/13 Update

2000 miles complete and we arrived safely in Moab. Temps were between 175 and 194 the whole route with an average speed of 75mph and 13 mpg.

found a great Mexican restaurant (Gustavo’s) in Cortez on the way.

Outside Gustavo’s.

no issues to speak of. Tomorrow we’ll check everything out before we hit Fins and Things.

Concerned about your charging system, your devices says 12.8 while driving. Should be in 13.6/14.2 range.

Looking forward to more pictures and adventure.

Good catch as always Deputy. Now that you mention it, it has been slowly dropping over time. Used to be in the 13’s. Alternator on its way out?

that would be my assumption. You went through this super well prior to this but couldn't hurt to check connections at the alternator/battery/grounds.

Have fun! Fins and things is a great intro to the slick rock, planning on running another trail? Hells revenge makes for a nice full day of wheeling.
