2004 Disco no crank and no power to fuel pump
I ran out of fuel, the inertia switch tripped, once I rest it the fuel pump hasn’t received power. I’ve tested the pump and it runs with an auxiliary battery. The was truck starting after I ran the pump for a few seconds but then it shut off after a few seconds. So I found that the fuel pump relay wasn’t operating as I didn’t feel the ‘click’ when the key was turned, so I ordered a new relay. The one that came was slightly smaller than the one that it replace but I figured that they may have just made them a little smaller 14 years later. I popped it in and turned the key, the starter now doesn’t even turn over. The radio and dash lights come on, the oil light and S M lights flash as well as the D on the dash. I also noticed that with the key in the run position I now can’t shift into any gears, the brake lights don’t come on, door locks and power windows don’t operate not does the key fob.

Yes. All fuses under the steering panel are good.
Could the fuse box under the hood, drivers side be bad? I’m really at a loss on what to do. Would inserting the wrong relay create some kind of short? Before installing the replacement relay I at least had the engine firing. At that point I was just trying to get power to the fuel pump.
Another thought, is it immobilized?

I swapped the relays and installed a new battery today, no change. I did notice that the check engine light, oil light, battery light and S and M lights are all on when the key is on the run position. There’s also a clicking sound on the drivers instrument panel. Still no crank, no brake lights, power locks or windows and it won’t shift out of park.

I got her running. Someone was correct, I did have a blown fuse to the battery. I had just checked all of the fuses and they were all good, went back and checked again after someone’s suggestion and found the battery fuse blew. So, in the end I replaced the battery, swapped in a different relay and everything runs.
When I bought my Landy (my 10 year old started calling it Landy and now it’s affectionately called that by the entire family) I expected to constantly need to repair mechanical issues...I realize now that the electrical issues seem to be more common and more difficult to diagnose.
