Default 2004 Disco tire size max

I have a stock 2004 Disco with 18" rims and hate the price of good tires. I purchased a set of 16" rims at a great price. I could go with the stock size but was wondering how big of tire can I go without a lift? Looking to get a little more aggressive tire but not go over board because it's my daily driver.

The price is great compared to tire rack.

Treadright tires are retreads. That is why they are less expensive. Not saying they are good or bad, just less expensive.

First, to go to a larger tire, you need to replace you sagging, warn out suspension with at least a 2" lift.
As for tire size, you can go up to a 285/75/16, 33" tire, but you will loose 3 MPG and a lot of low end power.
What do you plan on doing with this truck that you need larger tires?

I plan to start a little off roading and want a tad more clearance plus a more aggressive tire. It's still my daily driver until I decided to go all out with her.
