Default 2004 Discovery Crank Shaft Sensor

I recently changed my crankshaft sensor after the original went bad. While trying to plug in the new part I pushed the female end of the plug above the bell housing. Has this happened to anyone before and is there and easy way to remove something other than the trans to get to it? Thanks for your help.

I have no idea but I will give you a bump.

Part of the crank sensor fell inside the bell housing?
There is a inspection plate at the bottom, remove it, maybe the part is laying down there.

I believe he is talking about how the harnesses orginate behind the motor and he accidentally pushed the plug up out of reach.
Personally, I would try a length of coat-hanger to fish it out.
Good luck, keep us posted.

Can you see it if you shine a light up there?
