Default 2004 Discovery II Rear Door Lock

I noticed that my back left rear door lock is not working. The tab stays down and will not move up when unlocking the doors. All the other locks are working and the windows are working. I am looking for guidance in troubling shooting.

Thanks

Phil

Pull the door panel off and clean and lube the actuator. If that doesn't fix the problem then you'll have to replace the actuator.

Sorry for the delayed responce , but I was able to order a rear door latch off of ebay for $75.00. I installed it today and works great.

If you hit the unlock/lock and you hear the actuator working, but the lock just jiggles, you need a new clock spring on the lock. There is a tiny spring on the locking mechanism that offers resistance to the actuator. If it is broken, it will unlock, but instantly fall back down. There is a dude in England that sells them as a complete set. I just replaced 3 of mine and they all work great. Bear to do, but it only cost me about $25
