I have a 2004 Disco and the locks are messed up. Neither drivers side locks will lock or unlock with the remote but I can unlock the drivers door with the key. The only way to unlock the rear is by opening the door from the inside. Once they are both unlocked they will not lock with the remote either. I have to push the lock down in the back and use the key to lock the drivers door. Is this an actuator ? or somthing else? I did try to take out the actuator in the drivers rear door but once I got everything disconnected there was no way space to get it out past the internal window frame (is there a trick to this). HELP!

 

From what I understand you have to remove the glass to get the actuator out on a DII, but somebody who knows better will correct me if I am wrong or there is a easier way.

You need new lock actuators.
You can rebuild yours with new high speed motors from Radio Shack, or you can buy used ones, or new ones.
