3 holes in my hood???

Hey people, I have a 2003 Disco and it has 3 holes in the hood. One hole one the outer side of each windshield washer and one hole with a rubber o wring in it. Do any of you have any idea what these are for? Are the hole functional?

Maybe PO had a light bar on the hood? Two holes for the brackets and a third for the wires?

Are they on the hood or on the scuttle?

If on the scuttle they are for left or right hand drive windshield wipers, they use the same scuttle and just plug the holes with rubber blanks.
