Default 3" Springs with +2" Shocks

I've been wanting to put on 3" lifted springs on my D2 because my 2" MD just aren't cutting it (want to fit a bigger tire & also rear is very saggy) & I was just wondering if It would be possible to just lower the top shock mounts an inch with new towers & a relocated rear mount so that the shocks wouldn't be over stretched & could accommodate the 3" springs. I know this isn't the best way to lift the truck as far as shocks go but money is tight & longer shocks aren't in the budget for I just bought the 2" lift less than a year ago. thanks for the help!!

I already texted you back, but I'll respond here too for any future searchers. Yes, it will work fine even without dropped mounts. Lucky 8 actually sells their 3" TF lift wIth 2" shocks.
