Default 4 beeps when deactivating the alarm

Hi all,

Discovery 96 SE7 (4.0 liter, V-8 engine)

In normal conditions when I deactivate the alarm (original from fabric) it beeps 2 times.

Since some days ago, when I deactivate the alarm it beeps 4 times.

I was looking at the Owner's Manual but did not find anything about the number of beeps.

I am pretty sure it means something so I was wondering if any of you guys has had the same issue.

Could it be some serious electrical issue? or it's simply that the battery of the handset is about to die?

I would appreciate any insight.

Thanks,

Do you have a aftermarket stereo?
Does it do it when you unlock the trk with the key and not the remote?
What is beeping, the trk? It isint the horn isint?
