Default 98 Disc no A/C need new Heater Core????

My A/C stopped don't know why and I was told to replace my Heater Core... Does this make sense to anyone? If so, Why? I am not great on the tech part of it...

Do these two things play off of each other or do I have two problems?

Sorry for soo much questions.

Thank you in advance!

Go buy a A/C recharge kit, you can buy one at any autoparts store for about $20, follow the instructions.
Report back when that is done.

You need to better explain your problem, in one post you say your a/c doesn't work and in another, you say it blows cold. What exactly is wrong with your truck?

Sorry I messed up the messages... Let me see if I can start over.
When I turn on the A/C it blows but NO cold air comes out. The heat Does work when I turn the heat on... I had some one tell me that I need to repair/replace the Heater Core? I just bought the Disco knowing the A/C was not properly working. I have not taken it in yet for a look over. I plan on flushing everything and giving it a good tune up this week. But I was hoping to self diagnose the A/C problem first... i know that can get real expensive fast...

Hope this helps. Thank you!

Go buy a A/C recharge kit from your local autoparts store, follow the instructions, report back when you have this done.
