98 Disco Trouble
I have a 98 land rover discovery.
About April 22 (Wednesday) my car was driving fine and all of the sudden it overheated about 2 blocks away from my house. I parked it in front of my house and let it cool down. The next day i put some coolant on it and my mom took my car to work. So when she got out of work she went to turn on the car and the battery was dead so i went with my other car to turn it on with jumper cables and i turned on. I drove the land rover back to my house and on the way over there every time i stopped at red light it would accelerate by itself and when it changed gears it would slow down a bit. I would let go of the accelerator and it would go about 30 mph by itself. Once again the car overheated by itself on the way home. I let it cooled down and once again the battery was dead. When i turned it on the 4x4 light turned on in the dashboard and i don't know how to take it off. Can someone help me out. I'm not much of a mechanic

Couple issues going on. First never turn the engine off if it is not dripping coolant, never just turn it off to cool down or you stand a chance of loosing your engine. You always turn your heater to the highest fan speed and hottest temp and let the engine idle.
PM me your tel number so I can call you and in the mean time quit driving it.
