Default 98 discovery 4.0 problems.

i have a 98 discovery with a 4.0L.

car was running completely fine when all of a sudden it hesistates and will not start again.
put on a new set of spark plug wires. it starts, idles fine, but gets a very rough acceleration, and will not go above 3000 rpm
engine light flashes....
look out obd2 reader
the following code came out in order
p1193
p0130
p0158
p1316
p1314
p1313

looked at data from maf sensor.
(g/s)
engine stop = 0
idle = .1
2000 = .2+

so maf seems ok. plugs are carbon built up pretty bad....will be replacing it tommorow.
exhaust does seem to have a lil white smoke, but should be normal, as its snowing now.

btw. it used to idle very very rough. after some carb cleaners, it idles fine now. but when i accelerate, it is still extremely rough, and i would say completely unsafe to drive.
short term fuel trim are @ about -25 on both banks.
throttle position sensor seems to be operating normal.
i am pretty sure that the o2s are gone, but i believe that the o2 should not cause the stall and rough accellerations.
could it be a gone exhaust valve?
i will be checking the comp tmr too for the engine cylinder

Default RE: 98 discovery 4.0 problems.

How many miles on your truck, and on the plug wires?
1193 130,and 158 are O2 related faults 1316 is emission misfires
1314 and 1313 are failed cats.
You enegine has been running poorily for some time. Sounds like it is time for plug and some Magnacor wires, check and replace any bad vaccum lines, replace the O2's and then the cats.
What octane gas are you using? Need to take better care of her, this stuff gets expensive.
Mike
