Get it started and pump the fluid in until it is all in there.

My truck - a 2001..
I did not know to turn the engine on.
And I did put in fluid with the engine off.

It did run and move..
But, made a sucking or a gurgling noise in the morning.

So, I filled it up with the engine running.
All good.

Your transmission filter may be plugged.
Doubt it but...

well i had it running and pumped it full and it still makes the gurgling noise when in park. I took it through the gears and waited 2-3 sec before shifting to the next. It still didn't budge. How often do the filters get plugged? I just pumped about 3 quarts into it. What to check next? Should i drain it and change the filter. The code that it is throwing means the torque converter is not building up pressure (from disco mike) Is it possible that the fluid ran out of the torque converter? Also some people were saying i should replace the tranny. Could i Rebuild it? Also anybody have a used but good tranny cheap???
