on a side note, put it in neutral, then put the transfer case in neutral with the e brake one then pull the transfer **** back to high. It could be slightly engaged and it could pop out and cause your grinding and make you be able to push it in park. The only reason I say that is because I've swapped to low before to go play around then stopped and put it back in high only to not engage it completely and it pop back towards neutral. Just food for thought.
