Some, but not all, Auto Parts stores have the readers and will read them for free. Call around and see if you can get lucky.

+1 on the cdp+ i would have purchased it but I was sketched out about the sites it is sold on

if the lights are not on there are not any codes. if they go on and off it typically means that theres dust getting in the wheel speed sensors. (if they don't squeak) just use break cleaner and clean everything. thats a cheap way to start (if he tries to charge you for a code read)

Orileys reads ABS codes but each store has a different reader so its hit and miss like i was out of town and they could fix my amigos but my local stores can't
