ABS light on after pumping brakes

The 3 amigo problem is intermittent. Usually the lights are off when I first start the car. When I pump the brake pedal in parkI can sometimes get them to turn on. I'm assuming this means that my wheel sensors and brakes are probably ok but the real problem might be in the valves. Would the valve rebuild kit from Atlantic British fix this problem? (its a 2003 Disco)

how much are you pumping it... its designed that if you pump it 10 times in less then 10 seconds right after start, it will disable abs, hence the lights... make sure youre not causing the problem... and get your codes read, dont just guess at how to fix it if you have no idea what is wrong

Quit trying to figure out something you have no way of testing.
Go do one thing today and get back to us, do 2 pqanic stops from 30 MPH and see if you can feel your ABS pulsate thru the brake pedal, if you can, this is good. While doing this, pay attenetion to your brakes, do they squeak when braking, if so, this is your broblem and they will need to be cleaned or replaced prior to correcting the on again off again trio.
