Abs modulator install question
Okay, I'm about to install a brand new used abs modulator in my disco 2, is there anything I need to know before installing, other than take old modulator out, put new one in reverse order, and than bleed brakes? Do I need to hook it up to a pump of some sort etc.. And if I had my local Indy rover mechanic do it, how long should it take? Cost of job? thanks!
It's pretty much that easy. What's wrong with your current one? I'd do the svs fix in the stickies too while it's out.
As far as bleeding goes, you may have better luck bleeding at the modulator first, then bleed at the wheels. I couldn't get any pedal pressure until I bled the lines going from the master cylinder to the modulator. Then I used my hawkeye to bleed everything else, but you can use the normal method instead.
