Default ABS Shuttle valve replacement

I have a 99 Disco II with 100k on it and and am getting the SVS electronic failure, So I ordered the Falcon Works upgrade and replacement Kit. If I only take off the modulator and the shuttle valve, do I still need to bleed the system, after I re-install, I am assuming no, since I'm not opening that closed ABS/brake system.

yes you do, some guys try to remove the unit without taking off the lines but its easier to take them off. bleed the unit itself by having someone pump five times and hold it. then open all six lines and then close them and pump five times again and open them again. alternate which ones you open first. Perform the procedure four times and it will bleed the air out without fail.

Open the six lines going into the ABS unit? (disconnect the bolts on the unit itself and repeat?) do that twice, then move to the bleeders at each of the wheels...just want to get the procedure down and understood
