Hello friends, my Disco 2 from 1999 TD5 has problems when accelerating at 2500 to 3000 rpm . Is that a known problem? It seems as if the gas or fuel will partielly be cut off at accelerating? what could this be? I just cleaned all parts of the incoming air, changed air filter, fuel filter, even the very expensive fuel pressure valve at the rear part of the cyl head!! no better result. Is there anybody that has an idea what it could be? Thanks Tobias

Well, diesels have all of their power at low RPM not high RPM, so what you are feeling is the lose of power because you are well beyond the power band.
Why are you revving the engine that high anyway?
I have a V8 and I never go higher that 3,000 rpm, and that is only if I need to merge with traffic on the expessway.
How long have you owned the truck?
