What exactly do you mean by an 'accelerometer' as it'll be the first D2 I've ever seen with one affixed! Where exactly is it located?

An accelerometer is generally used for acceleration and braking testing.

There are two accelerometers in D2s that are equipped with ACE. One is in the ceiling and one is under the floor. They measure lateral acceleration and roll.

Hi Mollosc

I was unaware of that. In my 2000 V8 HSE which had ACE I didn't take too much notice of (too busy working) as it was serviced by a main agent back then but the ACE caused nothing but trouble with constant problems, great idea when working correctly BUT. Now on my TD5 I had the option specifically excluded when built so no more ACE issues but still used SLS.
