Accelerometer
What exactly do you mean by an 'accelerometer' as it'll be the first D2 I've ever seen with one affixed! Where exactly is it located?
An accelerometer is generally used for acceleration and braking testing.

There are two accelerometers in D2s that are equipped with ACE. One is in the ceiling and one is under the floor. They measure lateral acceleration and roll.
I was unaware of that. In my 2000 V8 HSE which had ACE I didn't take too much notice of (too busy working) as it was serviced by a main agent back then but the ACE caused nothing but trouble with constant problems, great idea when working correctly BUT. Now on my TD5 I had the option specifically excluded when built so no more ACE issues but still used SLS.
I'm getting error codes for both "SIGNAL NOT CHANGING" in the Nanocom
(Fault 03-01 and 08-02)
Any idea where exactly they are so I can check wiring, contacts? Or better to just order new ones?
Update: apparently one is in the ceiling above the rearview? And the other is next to the ACE module on the right hand side under the front door?

I did some quick searching in the RAVE and can’t find those codes, but there are a lot of diagnostic procedures in there in various places in the Front Suspension section. I’d start there.
I’m assuming this is a machine that came with ACE from the factory?
