Added pressure and temp gauges, where to get into coolant stream?

That style plug does not fit under my hood. I’d also be wary of using cheap knock off‘s. Saving a few dollars here was never part of my goal. VDO senders have always been extremely reliable and personally I wouldn’t use anything else. Most of those sensors are floating ground which on one level is a bonus but without knowing the impedance, a.k.a. temperature scale, they could be completely useless in mine or anyone else’s gauge application. Just because the threads match doesn’t mean it “works”. The sender must be matched to the scale of the gauge via the impedance.

I do temperature characterization myself, even the VDO's are off per my experience. And yes, I was afraid, they will not fit under the hood. I still have the option to modify them with a pigtail or drill them out in order to add a quality NTC (they are 50 cents only) or put in a digital sensor which have very high accuracy and are not much more expensive than an NTC. For $8 I get a decent brass piece (if not, I can return it).
